Never translate the same sentence twice

Attach translation memories to any project and the editor surfaces exact and fuzzy matches on every segment. Confirmed segments flow back into the TM, so your leverage grows with every job.

Repeated sentences are translated once: confirm a segment and every identical, untouched segment in the same file fills to match, so headers, boilerplate, and recurring lines never cost you twice.

TMs are portable: import and export TMX, and reuse memories across projects and organizations.

Termbase

Terminology that understands morphology

Glossary terms are highlighted in the source as you work, including inflected forms. Term matching is lemma-aware in around 35 languages, so heavily inflected words don't slip past your terminology.

Spellcheck covers 13 European languages, and Finnish goes further still: dedicated spellcheck, a real grammar checker, and a glossary autofix that inflects the mandated term to match the case and number of the sentence it lands in.

Machine translation

Machine translation, one guardrail

Machine translation is LionRapid's own LLM, tuned for translation. Exact matches from your translation memory are reused before the model is even asked, and segments close enough to a past translation can skip machine translation entirely.

Before your text reaches the model, entity protection masks the things that must survive word-for-word — emails, URLs, account numbers, product codes, brand names — so the model never sees them, then restores them exactly afterwards. Numbers, money, and dates are left to localize, and a quality check confirms they still agree with the source. Your text never leaves our own servers.

If a sentence comes back wrong, flag it and fix it inline: the model proposes a repair without you leaving the row.

Formatting

Bold stays bold — because formatting is data, not tags

Older CAT tools wrap formatting in inline tags — the tag-soup you translate around and mustn't break. LionRapid stores bold, italic, underline, and color as structured data positioned over the text, then re-places it onto the translation. You see formatting as formatting, never as tags to protect.

An editable document preview shows the styled file as you work, and snapshots plus versioning keep every state recoverable.

Quality

Checks that catch what a spellchecker can't

Around twenty checks run live as you type — the same detectors that guard delivery, not a watered-down preview: altered or missing numbers, dropped placeholders, terminology you didn't follow, untranslated leftovers, and more. Findings surface on the row, not in a report you read afterwards.

Beyond the text, structural checks rebuild the finished document and compare it against the source, so a lost table, a dropped image, or a missing paragraph is caught before delivery — across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OpenDocument.

Formats & interop

Fits the files you have and the tools you use

Import Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, plain text, PDF, HTML, and XML; the editor rebuilds each back to its original format on export. Subtitles and software strings — including ICU MessageFormat — have their own lanes.

It works beside the tools your clients already mandate: import XLIFF straight from Trados and memoQ, and round-trip your TMX memories and TBX termbases, so LionRapid sits inside an existing workflow instead of demanding you rip it out.

A full editor, not a per-seat licence

The whole editor — translation memory, terminology, live quality checks, and all the manual and TM-driven translation you can do — is included from €9.90 a month. There is no per-seat CAT licence to buy and no upgrade wall in front of the tools.

You pay only for machine translation, by the word: 25,000 words a month on Basic, then usage-based. A free tier and a 14-day Pro trial let you try it first.
